
Brian has decades of high-level experience in the financial world. Most recently, Brian led and managed a $25 billion AUM Flagship office for Charles Schwab. He led asset management, portfolio development, large client development, employee development, human resources, marketing, financial planning, compliance, audit, operations, and lending. Brian’s goal at Alpha Principle is to build a world-class culture and thriving environment that attracts top talent to serve clients with a wide spectrum of needs.
Brian also has 30 years of experience with studying, researching, and trading options, including LEAPS, Bull Spreads, Bear Spreads, Iron Condors, Equity Collars, and call and put option hedging. During this time, he focused on hedging and option income strategies designed to protect client wealth and produce a wide range of client specific outcomes. Brian has tutored affluent clients through the process of option strategies and trading techniques.
Brian graduated from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Philosophy and Psychology. He is a CFP® professional and holds an insurance license, and industry licenses including the series 7, 8, 9, 63, and 66. Brian was raised on a farm in central Minnesota and began his career with Charles Schwab in 1994 as a Financial Advisor and Planner. He stayed with Schwab until joining the Alpha team in 2022. Brian has been married for 27 years to his wife, Michelle. They have 2 sons, Stuart and Eddie, who attend Liberty University as Division I athletes.
Recognition and Awards at Charles Schwab: Brian was a 15-year member of the Chairman’s Club (top 2 percent); 4-years as a Platinum award recipient (#1 in country); Manager of the Year award, CEO award, and Commander award (Charles Schwab Founder award). He also led the efforts to achieve the distinction of Lead Branch in advised assets.
